Miami is the ultimate city for free things to do. From free museums and parks, to free concerts and festivals, it’s hard not to find something fun that won’t cost you a dime. I have compiled a list of my favorite free things in Miami below:
Art Deco District (free self guided tour)
Sometimes, free things are even better because they might offer a private tour or inside access that wouldn’t normally be available if you had paid for the experience. The Art Deco District in Miami offers free self-guided tours of this historic area with over 800 deco buildings and homes from American art designer movement.
Bill Baggs State Park Beach (free entrance)
This park also offers an amazing free beach where you can soak up some sun while enjoying incredible views of Miami’s skyline as well as beautiful nature trails perfect for walking and biking through palm trees and mangroves. It costs $12 per car to enter but there is no fee if you walk or bike into Bill Bagg’s State Park.
Biscayne National Park (free admission)
The free entrance fee is a great way to save money on an adventure in Biscayne National Park where there are over 130,000 acres of protected land that includes the beautiful coral reefs and mangrove forests at Lighthouse Key. This park also has opportunities for free snorkeling and scuba diving as well if you have your own equipment or join one of their free beginner’s dive workshops available every Saturday morning from April through October each year.
Free Concerts & Festivals all summer long
Miami hosts some amazing free concerts during Spring Break including Hip Hop Night which offers live performances by top hip hop artists like Rick Ross, Flo Rida, Lil Wayne, and T-Pain at free concerts that turn this city into one big party. Whatever genre of music you love, Miami has free festivals all summer long so there is always an opportunity to enjoy live shows in the streets for free!
Miami Beach Botanical Gardens (free admission)
Enjoy over 14 acres of beautiful greenery including a canopy walkway through native tropical plants like bamboo and philodendrons as well as rare palm trees from around the world at this free botanical garden on Miami’s South Beach next to Jackie Gleason Theater where it costs $20 per car to enter. The best part about visiting these gardens? It’s completely free any day except Tuesday when they are closed.
ynwood Walls (free graffiti space)
Miami also has free street art at Wynwood Walls where graffiti artists from around the world come together to paint murals on warehouses and buildings. These free walls are open 24 hours a day so you can see amazing free artwork anytime of the day or night while discovering local restaurants nearby that have free Wi-Fi! Miami offers some great opportunities for free things to do, whether it’s taking selfies with your friends during Spring Break or admiring impressive contemporary urban street art by international artists in Wynwood!
this also free, you can free walk and see a lot of cool stuff.
Brickell City Centre
free entrance to the shops and dining area with free activities going on for kids like free face painting! (beware that there is also an indoor mall which costs money)
Wynwood Walls free graffiti space
The Wynwood Walls is free and open 24 hours a day so you can see amazing free artwork anytime of the day or night. This wall was created by some big name artists like Swoon, D*Face, Ron English, Notre and Shepard Fairey.
Gusman Center for the Performing Arts (free performances)
In addition to free concerts during Spring Break at Miami’s South Beach on Ocean Drive this summer, there are also many opportunities in Downtown Miami near Brickell City Centre where it costs nothing more than your time to explore awesome street performers like these acrobats outside of Gusman Center for the Performing Arts while listening to free live music with friends!
